USA: Warner gibt Extras zur "The Dark Knight Rises" Blu-ray Disc bekannt

In den USA wurden jetzt die Extras zur Blu-ray Disc von "The Dark Knight Rises" bekannt gegeben. Die Blu-ray Disc wird u.a. Dokumentationen über das "Batmobile", 17 "Ending the Knight"-Featurettes über die Produktion, das Featurette "The Journey of Bruce Wayne" sowie Trailer und Bilder-Galerien enthalten. In den USA erscheint "The Dark Knight Rises" am 4. Dezember und soll ähnlich wie in England auch als limitierte Sonderedition mit einer Batman-Masken-Skulptur angeboten werden.

Ähnlich wie bei "The Dark Knight" wird Warner wahrscheinlich auch bei "The Dark Knight Rises" wechselnde Bildformate einsetzen. So zumindest kann man die im schönsten PR-Sprech uneindeutig formulierte Aussage von Warner über die Kombination der rund einstündigen IMAX-Aufnahmen mit dem Rest des Cinemascope-Film-Materials interpretieren:

"The Dark Knight Rises" Blu-ray disc takes advantage of the marriage of IMAX and 35mm formats by using the hybrid master to replicate the unique theatrical experience of integrated film formats.

Deleted Scenes wurden für die Blu-ray Disc nicht angekündigt. Für 2013 ist bereits eine "The Dark Knight Trilogy Ultimate Collector's Edition" in Planung.
